And it’s even more amazing that it takes something like this to get me back blogging again after (how long?!).
Truly a study in physics, physiology and cross-cultural understanding.
Thanks to Under Observation for this delightful and random discovery.

Very interesting post from Joyent recently on their Joyent Slingshot service that takes Ruby on Rails applications offline. It seems that this is the way to go these days. Zimbra has just done the same thing with its suite of applications, though they’re using Apache Derby to do it, it seems. I think we’re going to see a lot of action in this arena very soon. David Berlind of ZDNet is all big on speculating that Google will move in this direction as well, and I guess I wouldn’t quibble with that idea.

Welcome. This is the initial post of a blog with at least two personalities, geeky stuff and education stuff. While there is overlap between the two, there may not necessarily be overlap in the interest of those (4 to 5 people across the globe) who end up reading it. After considering keeping two separate blogs, I decided to join the two pieces into one, since I am, generally, only one person after all. I fully expect the post topics to be divergent at times, and I’ll make the effort to keep the distinctions by category. The idea is that you can read the education posts as a blog in themselves, or the geek posts similarly so. I will also set it up to be readable by category and set the RSS feeds up that way as well. Eventually. For now, I’m just happy to have it up and start doing some posting.
